About Our Staff

Dr. Henry A. Cathey, JR. D.D.S.
Dr. Cathey is a graduate of Davidson College and the University of North Carolina Dental School. He has practiced in Newport News since 1973. He and his wife, Judy, have 3 children. He is an avid gardener, woodworker, water and snow skier, trap shooter, hiker, biker and kayaker . . . and still crazy after all these years.

Office Administrator
The office administrator handles all aspects of the financial portion of your dental care. She discusses your treatment plan in detail and assists you with insurance claims. She is always available to answer any questions or concerns you may have regarding the financial aspect of your visit.

Scheduling Coordinator
Our scheduling coordinator is in charge of coordinating all dental appointments for you and your family.  She is responsible for keeping all patient records up to date and following up with your records to ensure that you see the hygienist and Dr. Cathey on a regular basis in your preventative program. Please notify her of any changes in your address or phone number.

Dental Hygienist
Our registered dental hygienist is a graduate of an accredited school of dental hygiene, has successfully passed national and regional boards, and holds a license from the State of Virginia to practice dental hygiene. Her duties include:
